After reading the article my opinion has changed. Before, I thought that store chains like Whole Foods were very unfair to their employees. Now I know that there is a grocery store that treats all of its workers with respect and equality.

From this article I learned some Important tips about what to do when aplying for a job. I also learned about the overall quality of Whole Foods Market. I already knew that their food was extremely healhy but I didn't know how they treated or chose their workers.

What makes this business different?

This business is very different from others. I say this because they treat their staff really well there, by giving them a lot of benefits, with a good salary as well. They also treat their customers very well. And customer service is an attraction to people, and will more then likely will allow their customers to want to come again. Most grocery stores don’t give the amount of benefits that Whole Foods gives to their staff; they take good care of them there.

What business model do they follow?

Whole Foods strives to be number one is customer service. They do their best to make their customers happy, which is why they pick above average employees, they even make sure their resumes are in proper order. A happy employee can usually lead to a happy customer.

Do you think this is a growing market?

Yes I do believe this a growing market. I have seen two Whole Foods go up in Chicago in the past two years. And people are always saying if you want healthy groceries go to Whole Foods. Whole Foods is the new and improved Dominick’s. It is becoming more popular as the years progress.

After reading the article has your opinion of the company changed?
Not really, just because I have shopped at Whole Foods before and I knew what great service and products they had there. This just proved my point even more that Whole Foods is the place to be for groceries. And at the same time, other business better improve their grocery stores, or Whole Foods one day will take over: just like Netflix did to Blockbuster.

What did you learn from the article?

I learned that Whole Foods is very smart with what technique they do, so that their customers keep coming back. They make sure they hire the right people so that they make the customers happy. When hiring their staff I learned that the smallest details in an application can say a lot of the person and can be very important when getting a job.

What makes this company so special is the diversity they have, or are developing. They continue to have success with hiring people there. They really seem to give their employees good benefits, and make sure their families don't starve.

Their employees seem to have a good job, there doesn't seem as though there's any unemployment on the way. With all the benefits they offer, it seems they will be strong for a very long time.

This is most definitely a growing market. They seem to have a lot of luck with producing and selling organic foods, and the store itself is becoming more popular.

I never really knew much about whole foods, so my opinion was kind of unknown. However after reading the article, it made me think how could a simple produce market produce more than food, and keep opening more stores nationwide.

I learned that whole foods has a very special way, and producible way in hiring employees.

Delilah Ellzey...This business is different because it offers a top service and products to its customers and top benefits to its employees. Not mention that it is one of the first of its kind of healthy organic food chains to be reproduced across America.

Their business model is that the customer is number one. Which basically means to meet and hopefully surpass the needs of the customers.

This business is a growing market because people are much more concerned about what they're eating than they used to be. Therefore people are looking for a trustworthy place to buy healthier foods. Also, they pay particular attention of the employees they higher, to ensure customer satisfaction. And when the customer is satisfied, you're more likely to have a long-lasting and growing business.

Yes, I think my opinion of this company changed because I see now that they have a high level of consideration for their customers. I respect that about them and knowing this, I'm more interested to shop there.

What makes this business different is their diversity in the workplace. Over 40% of the "team members" are either women or minorities. Also, if your application if rejected, this does not mean you are out of luck for a job. They appreciate when people apply more then once because they might have the requirements for another position. Whole foods follows a very ethical business model. I do believe their market is growing because Whole Foods used to not be as popular as it is now which means it is growing not only in size but also in popularity. My opinion did not change about this company. I did learn that a team member makes about $70,000 a year.

I do think this is a growing market. I do because now people everywhere shop for organic and more healthy foods, which they want at a reasonable price which is at Whole Foods.

When asked why whole food was different from other companies I was a little taking back. Whole food is a booming industry and revitalizing company, what isn’t it doing right to create a strong business? Whole food brings local growers, gourmet food, organic and healthy options together and also to cater to every food allergy. Also the company doesn’t blacklist employees so there is more of a chance to expand their employe percentge. This is one reason why I think this is a growing market.

This business is different because they are offering different things than the average store. The values they partake in deal with the well being of the customers and it appears as if they are always looking for better ways to serve their customers

The business model they follows is quite ethical, and they follow a mindset that demonstrates how they will not put their views ahead of the well being of the customer.

I don't know if the market is growing as fast as some may think. I definitely do think this type of business is on the rise, as more people decide that they need to move towards a more healthy source of food. However, I do still feel that fast food dominates our country.

I don't think my opinion of them has changed much. I had no prior knowledge of their customs but after reading the article I do think that this is a company for the people, and they are commited to making the customer happy

This article solidified the importance of a thank you note. It really explained how a thank you note can make or break your chances at getting a second chance at an interview. The one thing that I will take from this article more than anything is the legitimacy of the thank you note.

Whole Foods, unlike other grocery stores actually take time in choosing their employees, making sure the have the best. Not just people who need a job, but people who can do a quality job at most. Anyone can apply, some might not be hired but by constantly apllying you may have a chance to get hired. They pay a good salary with benefits, and treat their employees well.

Whole Foods is a very ethical company, seeing they take good care of their employees, and have a fair employees selection process.

I believe this is a growing market because the company is doing well and more people are demanding healthy, organic food.

I knew already Whole foods was different from its competiton, maybe even better. This article validates that it is one of the top companies out there.

Ilearned Whole Foods is a very good company to work for and they have a unique and fair way of hiring.

I feel like this really relates to what we are doing right now in class. Who knew that sending even just a thank you letter out for having an interview could help Whole Foods choose between the candidates that have applied. And it is great that you can keep applying, and no matter how many times you apply they will still consider you for a position and not deny you the opportunity.
And for just working there at Whole Foods, the pay is actually quite great, $70,000 on average a year. But you have to remember also that Whole Foods is a growing company, with many new comers opening their eyes to fresh food products.

What makes this business different?
Unlike many other grocery stores, Whole Foods provides their employees health benefits and pays them a pretty high salary. Considering that other grocery stores do not pay nearly as much as $70,000 -- especially during the current recession -- Whole Foods separates itself from its competitors. They even go as far as encouraging them to live a healthier lifestyle by providing subsidies if they join a gym. Whole Foods not only care about their product, but they put a lot into their employees.

What business model do they follow?
Whole Foods follows the ethical business model. As I stated for the previous question, they really take care of their customers.

Do you think this is a growing market?
Whole Foods is definitely a growing market. People are becoming more aware of what they eat. With novels being written, like Fast Food Nation, the Omnivores Dilemma, and In Defense of Food, consumers are more conscious of the production methods and ingredients of the food they eat. The United States is quickly shifting towards the organic approach of food production and Whole Foods [somewhat] provides that.

After reading the article has your opinion of the company changed?
My opinion of the company has definitely changed after reading the article. I already thought highly of them because of they produced quality foods. But now I hold them even higher. Who has ever heard of someone making $70,000 per year from working at a grocery store? I surely haven't until now.

What did you learn from the article?
I learned a little bit more about the interview process. Thank-You notes can actually make a huge difference in someone getting hired over another if the competition is tough. Additionally, places like Whole Foods put a lot of thought into who they hire. Typically, I would think that a grocery store would hire just about anyone because the job is less-desirable; however, I was wrong.

The business model that they follow is based on giving their employees equal opportunities and benefits.

Do you think this is a growing market?

I do think that this is a growing market because Whole Foods has 280 in 38 states and, DC, Canada, and UK. It also states in the story that sometimes people feel like there a Whole Foods on every corner.

After reading the article has your opinion of the company changed?

After reading this article, my opinion has changed. Before, I used to think that these groceries chains were unfair to their employees and that they weren't treated equally or given any benefits. Now I can see that there is one store that treats their employees with respect, equality, and dignity.

1. What makes Whole Foods business different from other grocery stores is that they carry gourmet organic foods and foods that cater to food allergies. Their employees also have a higher sakary than most alng with health benefits and gym memberships.

2. The business model that they follow is that the customer always comes first. To ebsure this, they hire the best from the pool of applicants that will be the absolute best at the job.

3. I do believe that this is a growing market because people are always going to need food, no matter what. Plus, more consumers are going to catch on to more organic foods simply because they are more healthy. Whole Foods has nothing to worry about.

4. My opinion of Whole Foods hasn't severely changed. I still like to shop there and appreciate the products they offer that so many places don't. I do have alittle more respect for them as a company though now that I know that they attempt to provide the best of the best situations for consumers like myself.

5. I learned some tips that I need to use when applying for a job as well as facts about Whole Foods. An example is being persistent and sending a thank you letter to the employer. Plus, I found out how much their employees make along with the fact that they made the list of Forbe's top 100 best places to work, pretty impressive.

The business is different than normal because of a few reasons. The employees are only taken if they are top of the line. The company makes sure they're taken care of also. The company cares about its employees and customers.

The businees model they follow is just everyone should bhe treated the way they want to be treated. It's all about equality.

It's definitely a growing market. Everyday it becomes more and more popular. Healthy foods are becoming more popular.

Nothing has changed because my parents are frequent shoppers their, and i have tagged a numerous amount of times.
